For immediate release.

Town of Midland downtown

Precise ParkLink is proud to announce that we have been awarded as the managed parking service and technology provider for the Town of Midland. Located on Georgian Bay in Simcoe County, Midland is the economic center of the region. The town is renowned for being a popular destination for visitors near and far, especially within the summer months.

To meet and exceed the town’s growing needs, the municipality launched the King Street Rejuvenation project. Lasting several years, the project would encourage significant redevelopment of the downtown core. Rooted in rich history, the rejuvenation project has allowed Midland to maintain its traditional environment while offering residents and visitors an upgraded main street area.

As part of the rejuvenation project, the Town of Midland’s parking infrastructure was also set to receive some significant upgrades. Before partnering with Precise ParkLink, the town faced a series of challenges with the existing system. Coin-only, single-space parking meters lined the streets limiting patrons from using debit or credit cards to pay for parking. This also resulted in more extensive collection and processing times. The town’s manual parking enforcement and permit systems led to inefficient management and processing. As a result, the municipality partnered with Precise ParkLink to manage their on- and off-street parking program with automation.

With over 30 years of experience in managing the day-to-day operations of municipalities and providing the necessary technology solutions to do so, Precise ParkLink is equipped to provide the level of service municipal parking authorities require to satisfy and exceed their needs.

In May 2021, Precise ParkLink began deploying a parking program that allows the Town of Midland to offer a seamless parking experience for visitors and residents. Cale CWT Colour  pay-by-license-plate parking meters will replace the existing single space meters. The new technology will also be coupled with Precise ParkLink’s mobile scan-to-pay platform Parkedin™, allowing customers to pay for parking directly from their mobile device by scanning a QR code. The municipality will also integrate SecurePark cloud-based enforcement technology into the parking infrastructure to ensure a seamless parking experience for residents and visitors. Their parking program also includes Precise ParkLink’s Interactive Parking Access Subscriber System (IPASS) that allows residents to register for monthly parking that works in tandem with license plate recognition software.

Paul Banyard, Account Executive here at Precise ParkLink explains, "As a full-service parking and mobility firm, we can meet the demands of municipal parking operations and the backend process required for successful execution. The Town of Midland’s revitalization has allowed us to deploy a visitor and resident-focused parking solution that will continue to meet the town’s evolving demands. As a trusted management and technology provider for the Town of Midland, we are committed to supporting their endeavours to achieve their visitor- and resident-focused needs every step of the way.”

Precise ParkLink is working diligently to ensure a seamless transition to the new parking program for the Town of Midland. We look forward to working with the municipality and providing a visitor and resident-focused parking solution for many years to come.
