Precise ParkLink & the Greater Toronto Airports Authority Reinforce Strong Partnership with 'Tap & Go' Payment Retrofit
The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) is the operator of the Toronto Pearson International Airport, also known to be Canada's largest airport and North America's second largest international passenger airport. As a hub for the movement of people and goods across the country, continent and globe the GTAA's vision is simple, 'to be the best airport in the world' by providing consumers with service reliability, sustainable growth and a welcoming atmosphere that begins with parking.
Precise ParkLink is honoured to be a parking partner to the GTAA. Over the past five years the GTAA has chosen to invest in Precise ParkLink's Pay on Foot SKIDATA parking equipment and innovative cutting-edge technologies that support the GTAA's 'Strategic Imperatives of Achieving Operational Excellence and Delivering Value and Innovation through Assets and Products'.
Anticipated to launch in the late Fall of 2016, the GTAA has decided to invest in a parking payment retrofit that will be installed and maintained by Precise ParkLink. The payment retrofit includes an EMV certified contactless reader at each parking lot entry lane that is compatible with the readers at each exit lane. The system will allow consumers to use a credit card to "tap in and tap out" upon entering and exiting the parking lot. From a consumer convenience perspective, the "tap and go" technology at the entry and exit lanes will allow visitors to bypass the pay stations and eliminate the need for a parking lot entry ticket.
