Job Summary:
Precise ParkLink is seeking a dynamic, motivated, and self-starting Senior Proposal Writer to join our expanding Proposal Development team. Reporting to the Director, Proposal Development, the Senior Proposal Writer will play a pivotal role in crafting compelling proposals and supporting strategic initiatives across various business units. This high-profile role requires exceptional bid management, proposal writing/editing, project management, and consulting skills to develop winning proposals in collaboration with senior executives and the Proposal Development team.

Mandatory Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years of demonstrable experience managing bids and proposals
Mandatory requirement. Applications received without 5+ years of current or very recent experience will not be considered.
Procurement and Pursuit Knowledge: Understanding of Canadian procurement and contract vehicles, as well as business development best practices.
Proposal Lifecycle: Clear understanding of proposal lifecycle and content management best practices.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AI prompts, generative AI, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Superior Communication Skills: Ability to write and communicate clearly, persuasively, and effectively in the current business environment.
Prioritization: Ability to manage, prioritize, and re-prioritize efforts for multiple concurrent bids and proposals.
Professional Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally across a broad corporate landscape.
Research and Editing: Exceptional research, editing, and proofreading skills.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Self-Motivation: High level of self-motivation, ability to work independently, and collaborate successfully in a team environment.
Problem-Solving: Ability to handle and use constructive feedback to make needed changes to documents and proposals.
Technical Aptitude: Technically and/or mechanically inclined nature, adept at understanding complex systems.

Job Responsibilities / Duties:
Lead Proposal Development: Manage bids and proposals from inception to submission, ensuring compliant and compelling content.
Strategic Analysis: Interpret RFP (RFx) requirements, develop focused strategies, and clarify issues as needed.
Team Leadership: Be the RFx team lead on assigned pursuits, ensuring adherence to processes and timelines, development of proposal plan, and coordinating kick-off meetings and follow-ups.
Technical Strategy Support: Collaborate with SMEs to develop technical strategies at capture meetings.
Response Generation: Produce compliant, concise, and compelling proposals that address client goals using content from the proposal response library and team contributions, and simple “in the client’s words” language.
Stakeholder Coordination: Work with functional staff to ensure proposal development aligns with internal strategies and bid requirements.
Editing and Review: Coordinate, review, and edit proposal input from various stakeholders, ensuring a cohesive document with a clear, easy-to-understand, single voice.
Transform Information: Convert complex business and technical product information into easy-to-understand, well-written material that highlights features and benefits that positions and wins business.
Post-Submission Efforts: Participate in response and post-submission strategy efforts, including writing, formatting, and presentation ideas.
Content Management: Distribute new or revised content to support the proposal content database.
Mentorship: Serve as a writing editor, mentor, and coach to others in the Business Development Department. Work with internal teams to develop content.
Deadline Management: Handle multiple concurrent proposal assignments accurately and thoroughly under tight deadlines.
Persuasive Communication: Use persuasive content and visual techniques to clearly communicate proposal strategies and messaging.
Client Presentations: Prepare presentation materials and participate in proposal presentations to clients.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
