John Ivo
Director, Production and Support Services
As director for Precise ParkLink’s production and support services, John is responsible for setting and enforcing the policies and procedures that ensure all equipment is built to our clients’ specifications and supported according to factory recommendations.
This means he takes the time to understand his clients’ requirements, coordinates with management to oversee the preparation of production proposals, and works with the production team to monitor and optimize workflow to ensure on-time delivery. And as part of his quality assurance processes, John’s always available to troubleshoot issues and develop solutions to ensure our products go out configured as expected and at the high level of quality that our clients demand.
When John joined Precise ParkLink in 2013, he brought with him over two decades of engineering, logistics, and project management experience. Early in his professional career, after studying mechanical engineering technology and design, John worked for S&C Electric’s development team, designing high-voltage switches for major clients like municipalities and utilities, including Toronto Hydro.
Today, he applies his expertise in engineering theory and practice in a management role, overseeing a team of over 65 employees who are involved in all aspects of the production and service process. Among other things, this includes preparation of equipment from the factory for rapid deployment in the field to minimize disruption at our clients’ sites, and the recertification process we have developed to extend the life of equipment already in service. This latter program diverts tons of equipment from landfills each year and helps Precise ParkLink and our clients alike meet their environmental responsibility targets.
John doesn’t believe in giving up or sitting still. He’s continually striving to do his best for himself and the team he leads, setting an example for them that, with enough work and dedication, anything can be achieved. He strives for perfection in everything he does and encourages his staff to think outside the box to make it a reality and deliver the best value for their clients.
John applies this same mechanical aptitude to fully restoring classic cars, often adding modern technology and conveniences along the way. So great is his passion for these projects that, at one point, he managed a family-run automotive components distribution business, looking after all aspects of the company, including the inventory controls and relationship management that serve him well at Precise ParkLink.
