Job Summary:

Precise ParkLink is currently recruiting Patrol Officers responsible for verifying the validity of dashboard tickets, reservations, and parking permits at contracted private properties throughout the City of Ottawa.

Location: Ottawa, ON

Employment: Full-time (this posting is for a current, existing vacancy)

Shift Hours: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Compensation: $19.00 per hour

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • General proficiency with computers and cellular devices

  • Valid G driver’s licence with a clean abstract, to be provided at time of hire

  • Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance

  • Prior experience in parking enforcement or a security background is a significant asset

  • Criminal and credit records check required before hiring (completed by Precise ParkLink)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and understand scheduled routes before each shift dispatch

  • Check dispatch emails for client requests and refer to calendar for upcoming events

  • Respond promptly to client requests for enforcement, communicate to confirm receipt, and provide a debrief after attending to calls

  • Inspect vehicles and required devices before departing for shift; report any issues immediately to the manager

  • Carefully check expiry dates and times on parking receipts displayed on dashboards, as well as approved hangtags when applicable

  • Run licence plates through enforcement software at designated sites to confirm registration

  • Ensure infractions are issued accurately with correct information on tickets

  • Return devices in their original condition and place them on charging units for subsequent shifts

  • Arrange for towing of vehicles where necessary, following By-Law regulations

  • Work outdoors and within sheltered garage environments

  • Complete mandatory health and safety training upon hire

  • Perform other related duties as assigned
